Scheme membership

There are three membership categories for the DB Section.

Active members

These are members who're still employed by the Company and continue building up Pensionable Service in the DB Section (subject to a maximum of 40 years service).

Deferred members

These are members who're no longer employed by the Company or have elected not to continue building up Pensionable Service in the DB Section.

Pensioner members

These are members who're receiving their pension from the DB Section, or those who are receiving a pension from the Scheme following the death of a DB Section member.

The DB Section closed to new members with effect on and from 1 August 2003.
