Temporary absence

Below you will find a high-level process map showing the various steps involved in updating your record if you have a period of absence.

1 Short periods of absence

Most absences from work are relatively short and your membership of the DB Section in these circumstances will remain unchanged.

2 Longer periods of absence - HR advises the DB Section Administrator of your temporary absence

Nothing for you to do at this stage as HR will let the DB Section Administrator know about your absence.

3 Longer periods of absence - the DB Section Administrator updates your record accordingly

If you are away for a longer period and you stop receiving contractual pay or statutory sick pay your membership may be continued with the Company and Trustee consent.
