Visiting an IFA

Below you will find a high-level process map showing the various steps involved in obtaining information in preparation for visiting an IFA.

Click on the numbers below to reveal more information about each step.

1 You sign authority to release information to your independent financial adviser (IFA)

When you first meet your IFA they will ask you to sign a form to authorise the Trustee to send information about your Scheme benefits to them.

2 Your IFA sends a request to the DB Section Administrator including the signed authority

Your IFA will send a request to the DB Section Administrator requesting the information they require to advise you. They will include with this request the authority form you signed to allow the Trustee to provide this information.

3 The DB Section Administrator provides requested information to your IFA

The DB Section Administrator will provide the information your IFA has requested directly to them.

4 You meet with your IFA

Once your IFA has received all the information they require they will arrange to see you again.
